This page says what the Monitor records about the people who read it. The answer is short, because the Monitor carries no advertising, sells nothing, and hands nothing to a data broker. What it counts, it counts in order to know whether the record is being read.
Reading the site
A plain visit sets no cookies. The site counts the page you opened, where you came from, an approximate country, and your browser and its language. That count goes to sovereigntymonitor.eu itself rather than to an advertising network, and the counting is done by Ghost, which hosts this publication. It is kept as a tally of pages and sources rather than as a record of individuals.
The site does keep two small settings in your browser, and neither ever leaves it: whether you chose the light or the dark view, and which view you last used on the map.
Two pieces of the page load from jsDelivr, a public code network: the subscribe window and the search box. Your browser tells jsDelivr its address when it fetches them, the way it does for any site that loads code from elsewhere.
Subscribing
Subscribing stores the address you give and the page that sent you there. Signing in sets a cookie, so the site knows the session is yours. The Monitor's emails record whether they were opened and which links were followed, and links inside them carry a tag saying the Monitor sent you. That is how a newsletter tells whether an item was read. If you would rather not be counted that way, read the same items on the site: everything sent by email is published there.

The API and the connector
The record is also published through a public API and an assistant connector at api.sovereigntymonitor.eu. Those run on a server in France, which logs requests in the ordinary way: the address a request came from, and what it asked for. Questions put to the connector are answered out of the published record and are not added to it.
What is never collected
No advertising, and no tracker belonging to an advertising network. Nothing about a reader is sold, and nothing is passed to a data broker. The Monitor asks for no personal detail beyond an email address, and only when you choose to subscribe.
