Julich inaugurates JION quantum computer linked to supercomputer infrastructure

Forschungszentrum Julich and Siegen-based start-up eleQtron inaugurated JION, a trapped-ion quantum computer built under NRW's EUR 21 million EPIQ partnership, linking it to Julich's supercomputers via the JUNIQ infrastructure for hybrid quantum-classical computing.
