ESA launches MTG-I2 weather satellite on Ariane 6, completing Europe's imaging trio

ESA's Meteosat Third Generation Imager 2 (MTG-I2) launched on Ariane 6 flight VA270 from French Guiana on 27 August 2026, completing the three-satellite MTG constellation that Eumetsat will use for weather forecasting over Europe and northern Africa.
