EU clears EUR 659 million German state aid for four semiconductor plants

The European Commission approved EUR 659 million in German state aid for four chip plants under the Chips Act: Element 3-5, KETEK, and German units of US-owned Vishay and KLA, taking cumulative EU chip aid clearances to about EUR 14.2 billion.
