France adds EUR 655 million for AI sovereignty and a single public chatbot

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced EUR 655 million in extra France 2030 funding for AI infrastructure, compute, research and industry, plus L'Assistant, a single sovereign chatbot built on Mistral's models for around one million civil servants.
