Canada joins EU SAFE defence fund as first non-European participant

The EU and Canada signed a SAFE participation agreement at the Munich Security Conference, letting Canadian content make up to 80 percent of any SAFE funded defence procurement against an initial EUR 10 million Canadian contribution, Canada being the first non-European participant.
