Finland to build maritime centre to monitor undersea cable threats
Finland's Border Guard said it will build a maritime surveillance centre, using seabed sensors and AI traffic analysis, with other Baltic states and the European Commission, to catch ships that damage undersea cables, and will seek EU funding for it.
What it does not test. This does not establish that the centre is funded, built or staffed, only that Finland has stated an intention to build it gradually.
How this item counts. No movement: no answer to who owns, who operates, whose law governs or who made the parts changes. Weight 0. Just an intent to build with Baltic states; unfunded, unbuilt.European Sovereignty Index
