# Swedish firm TekSiC reports a milestone toward Europe's first domestic semi-insulating SiC wafer supply

- Description: TekSiC (Linkoping) says a partner grew GaN epitaxial layers on its semi-insulating SiC wafers, a material Europe cannot yet make domestically and one used in space, defence and RF electronics. Customer samples are due mid-2027.
